Your First Visit to Our Fargo Practice

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
Make Yourself at Home
Upon your arrival to our office, you will be warmly received by Rachel, our chiropractic assistant and office manager. It's her job to help you feel welcomed and begin collecting your personal health information as well as explaining office and financial policy. You should expect to spend about 40-60 minutes for your first visit. You'll complete a simple health questionaire to give us insight into why you're seeking our help so we can best serve you.
After your forms are filled out, Rachel will escort you back to the consultation room where she'll ensure all forms are completed and get to know you and your situation a little bit better. Then, depending on your knowledge and experience of chiropractic, you may watch a short introduction to chiropractic video.
You'll then meet Dr. Jorgensen for your consultation with him. Depending on the complexity of your case, this usually takes 10-20 minutes. He will ask questions regarding your health and condition to determine the best approach in finding out what is causing your problem and also to determine if yours is a chiropractic case. Dr. Jorgensen will then examine you which usually includes range of motion testing, computerized thermography (to determine evidence of nerve irritation), palpation (feeling around your spine), orthopedic/neurological testing and if evidence warrants, x-rays will be taken.

After the x-rays are taken, they are then processed, and unless there are extenuating circumstances, you will most likely be scheduled by Rachel for your next appointment on the following day. Occasionally people are able to be seen on the same day for treatment if the conditions require it.
We Explain Everything First
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.
Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!
